Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mark Barnhard, KD5AIV. Introductions were made of the members in attendance with name, call sign, and location. There were 20 present. We welcomed Darryl Wagoner WA1GON from New Hampshire. Treasures report was read by Jim Acebedo KE5JNP. Don Mc Daniel WA5OOY reported on the status of the club repeaters especially the Bismarck repeater and the new Holly Mountain repeater. Ham Fest will be September 17th this year. C.A.R.E.N. Club will hold 5 ve test sessions this year. Four will be roughly quarterly and one at the Ham Fest. Daryl Stout AE5WX will coordinate ve’s and conduct these sessions. Quarterly sessions are closed sessions. No walk-ins. If you wish to test, contact Daryl before the session and be at the Red Cross building well before 6:30 pm in order to finish in a timely manner. We can’t stay all night. We discussed the public service events for 2011. These can be found on the club web site. Please schedule the events on your calendar and with the club coordinator for each event you can support. Proposed program content for future meetings was discussed. Some club field training displays in local parks has been suggested to try reaching new prospects and allow us to tweak our stations.
